In addition to the Camp Longridge Redesign, they also wanted a more updated version of their logo. I didn’t change the logo significantly, because I wanted to maintain some consistency with the logo that people would be familiar with. But I wanted to add some new colors to make the logo’s colors “pop” more. I also experimented with some different fonts. The font used on the previous logo was a variant of Times New Roman and I wanted to pick something that would be a big more unique to Camp Longridge. After providing a few different color options for the client, they chose to go with the red & black version of the logo.

This header logo was designed in addition to the Hope Lutheran Church youth group website redesign (described here). Their youth group is divided up into the Way, the Truth and the Life – so, 3 groups. In addition to the symbolism of the Trinity, it seemed that a good logo choice would incorporate the 3-in-1 idea, so we went with the three circles interlocking for the logo for the youth group, The Answer.

I put together this logo for the BGLASS (Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian and Straight Supporters) group on the campus of Princeton Theological Seminary. They said they wanted something that would portray the theme for the 2008 BGLASS Week, which was “It’s about people.” A desire to move away from the issues that often cloud the discussion about homosexuality, and a re-energized focus on the people who are often forgotten.

I put together this logo in Illustrator with the help of an image file from iStockPhoto – it turned out pretty well. And we put it on t-shirts as well.

In addition to redesigning their website, Peachtree also wanted a new logo. They wanted to work with the theme of a peach tree still, a tree with leaves that was showing signs of growth and sturdiness. Yet, they still wanted to maintain the look and feel of a church logo – so we made the outlining shape into a stained-glass frame shape. While the font and stained-glass shape maintains a more traditional look, the logo with the tree and leaves helps bring it alive, and helps it to feel fresher and organic.
